Thanks for the well wishes on the dissertation. I know how you feel about your workload. I am facing a deadline of sorts as well. There is this assistant professorship opening up at the college of information studies at McGill University in Quebec that I want and I need to finish my dissertation by January 1st, 2009 to even have a shot of getting that job. All the while; I have to submit an application, hope I get selected for a site interview and, passing that, get a job offer. Still, we shall see what happens and how the rest of the year will shape up overall.
Sounds like you've got more of an idea of a plan than me. So good luck on that, I'm sure you'll get it done!
Congratulations on your last year of school, Heidi, that's great! So, what's next after you graduate? Are you going to be doing any freelance work or are you going to work for a firm?
A Point To Ponder
Well I was going to work for a year to get some money then do my master's because I also want to be a lecturer at uni, but I heard somewhere that most uni's want PHDs now, so I need to go to the careers office and talk about that. But mostly, if I can get a job I don't despise, I will quite happily write in my spare time.
P.S.: I have to compliment you on your writing skills. They have improved greatly from your first go-around in the Realm up until the present moment. Keep up the good work!
Thank you, I am actually having my story for my prose portfolio workshopped today, always fun.
