Kana's Ex-Servant added, "By the by, Mistress Kana, when is your birthday? And how do you celebrate it in your culture? Also, do you have any other questions that I could answer for you on dating or men or falling in love? He! He! He!"
"I'm sure I'm going to need a refresher, but I don't think I'll have any other questions till I start to experience things." The Wolfen answered, looking a bit lost for words. "As for my birthday, I'm not sure. I was never told. I just know that once fall arrives, I'm another year older. It wasn't important enough to the town I was born in to have it celebrated."
"REALLY?!" squeaked Serna in disbelief, "You don't know when your BIRTHDAY is?! Well, we're just going to have to do something about that, Mistress Kana, you'll see."
The pair walked into a room with a set of chairs and two attendants standing by them. One of them, a young woman with dark brown hair approached Serna and Kana with a warm smile, "Greetings! Welcome to Petunia's Pedicure Parlor. My name is Petunia and I am here to serve you--"
Serna fought down a laugh at the woman's name and title of her shoppe.
"--so ladies, what would you like? A manicure, a pedicure or both? And would you like any designs on your nails?" concluded Petunia with a grin.
Serna stopped snickering long enough to say, "Hi, my name is Serna and my friend here is Mistress Kana, we would like both a manicure and a pedicure. I would like all of my nails to have a moons design on them please set against a black sky. What would you like designed on your nails, Mistress Kana?"
"I'm not sure," Kana said to Serna. "I've not thought about it. I guess whatever you think would be good for me."
Serna tapped her finger against her chin and thought for a minute before she snapped her fingers, "I know, how about a red wolf baying at a crescent moon against a night sky? How does that suit you, Mistress Kana?"
"Well, before we begin, I would at least like to see what I have to work with. Hands please?" announced Petunia with a smile.
Serna held out her hands to be examined by the manicurist and nudged Kana to do the same.
Petunia examined both of their hands and frowned before she pointed at each of the girls in turn, "You, my Lady Serna, are a Servant or Serving Girl of some stripe and you, my Lady Kana, are a Warrior or Fighter of some type. I would wager Lycanthrope or Wolfen am I correct?"
"WOW! How did you know that?" replied Serna in complete disbelief.
Petunia smiled at the two friends, "The hands, like the eyes, can tell the story of a person's life--if you look hard enough and know what to see. However, if you ladies can each take a seat we can begin. My Lady Kana, would you like for me to sharpen your nails? With a simple magical application, I can make them sharp enough to cut through chain mail."
