Serna stopped snickering long enough to say, "Hi, my name is Serna and my friend here is Mistress Kana, we would like both a manicure and a pedicure. I would like all of my nails to have a moons design on them please set against a black sky. What would you like designed on your nails, Mistress Kana?"
"I'm not sure," Kana said to Serna. "I've not thought about it. I guess whatever you think would be good for me."
Serna tapped her finger against her chin and thought for a minute before she snapped her fingers, "I know, how about a red wolf baying at a crescent moon against a night sky? How does that suit you, Mistress Kana?"
"If that's what you think would be good," Kana answered, "then it's good enough for me."
"Well, before we begin, I would at least like to see what I have to work with. Hands please?" announced Petunia with a smile.
Serna held out her hands to be examined by the manicurist and nudged Kana to do the same.
Kana slightly curled her fingers before holding them out to Petuna.
Petunia examined both of their hands and frowned before she pointed at each of the girls in turn, "You, my Lady Serna, are a Servant or Serving Girl of some stripe and you, my Lady Kana, are a Warrior or Fighter of some type. I would wager Lycanthrope or Wolfen am I correct?"
"A Wolfen, yes," Kana answered in disbelief.
"WOW! How did you know that?" replied Serna in complete disbelief.
Petunia smiled at the two friends, "The hands, like the eyes, can tell the story of a person's life--if you look hard enough and know what to see. However, if you ladies can each take a seat we can begin. My Lady Kana, would you like for me to sharpen your nails? With a simple magical application, I can make them sharp enough to cut through chain mail."
"Really?!" Kana asked in joyful surprise. "Yes, please."
"Wonderful! I have been dying to try out this magical solution for a long time," Petunia sat down beside Kana, pulled out a file and began to work on the Wolfen's nails while Serna settled into her seat and endured the same from Petunia's counterpart.
"First, Lady Kana, I have to do a little file work on your nails. Once I get them properly filed down, then I will bring out the solution that will sharpen your claws," Petunia added, "Now, I have to warn you that the solution is a little hot and it is going to sting a bit. But you must place your claws into the solution and hold them there for ten minutes to allow the magic to do its work."
Petunia quickly finished Kana's right hand and moved to her left one, "If you can handle the discomfort, I promise you that no armor short of plate mail or a magical armor derivative will be able to resist a swipe from your claws. You'll be able to slice through chain mail or leather armor like a hot knife through butter. But I do have a question, Lady Kana, would you like for me to apply this solution to the claws on your feet as well as your hands?"
"See, Mistress Kana," Serna beamed from ear to ear, "I told you coming here was a good idea."
