Petunia smiled with a devilish grin, "How does it feel, Lady Kana, to be the most dangerous Wolfen this side of the Lycansmarch?"
"These are wonderful!" Kana wispered in barely contained excitement. She then turned to Petunia as a thought went through her head. "Am I still able to use a regular bow without destroying it? Does my attention need to be there for them to work, or will I need to be extra careful with them? I don't really understand magik, so I don't know what to expect."
"Well, um, you need to focus your attention upon your claws for the magic to work. But, if you don't mind my asking, Lady Kana," Petunia was a little confused by the Wolfen's questions, "Don't you have retractable claws? I have heard that most of your ilk possess this gift. That would take care of any problem you would have in terms of accidentally hurting something or someone with your claws. Can you not retract your claws, my lady?"
Kana gave Petunia a quick 'you've got two heads' look before remembering where she was. "No I can't," she answered gently. "I come from another Realm and am half-Human. I'm a bit different than what you know. But it's good to know that I'll have to be thinking about it to have the magic work. And I'm already used to being careful with regular claws."
"Well then you have nothing to fear, Lady Kana," sighed Petunia with a laugh before she began to ease the Wolfen back into her chair, "Now, my lady, I have to finish the second half of my work, the design upon your nails. I promise you that it shall not last longer than the first half did but patience is required."
After allowing her nails to dry, Serna got up out of her seat and asked the Wolfen, "Well, Mistress Kana, once we are done here what would you like to do? We could have facials done or we could return to the Harlech Inn and get something to eat or we could do some more exploring around the city. What would you like to do next?"
