Alyson slept a seemingly dreamless sleep. Those were the ones where she was really tired. Almost to the point of exhaustion. Not even the atomic bomb going off nearby could wake her when she was in a deep sleep. On the other hand, it left her completely vulnerable and at the mercy of any one person or creature attempting to take advantage of the situation. That was why she summoned the Swift Wind. The lizard watched the surroundings like a hawk and often tested the air with its tongue for any signs of danger as it grazed on the course grasses that blanketed the area near the wall.
"What is that thing?" a Dwarf who happened to walk by and take notice of the Swiftwind grazing by the entrance to the city.
"I don't know, but have you seen anything like it?" asked another person on horseback.
"No! I haven't," replied the Dwarf grinning from ear to ear, "And I've been around awhile I'll have you know."
The Swiftwind stopped grazing and took a defensive stance over Alyson. It growled loudly as though the elementalist was its offspring.
***HHHIISSSSSS!!***
"Well, if that's the case, with it being so rare, I say let's catch it and sell it in the Animal Market," replied the Horseman as he removed a lasso strapped to his saddle, "I bet we could fetch a fair price for something as odd as that thing."
"Aye! I bet we could. What do you say to a 60-40 split on the profits?"
Sensing immediate danger, the creature scooped up the elementalist in its fore claws, and moved away from the wall.
"Nay! 50-50 when we catch it," concluded the Horseman, "Its fair and its just."
"Done!" the Dwarf began to approach the Swiftwind moving at it from a down wind position while the Horseman readied his lasso to rope the creature into submission.
Without warning, the Swiftwind bolted. Leaving a dust cloud in its wake. One second it was there, another second it was gone. Heading southward through the grain fields...
**SSHHHOOOOOOOSSHHH!!!**
