As the pair skipped through the streets of Fair Weather like a couple of school girls at recess, a roar of animalistic rage mixed with cries of anguish and horror could be heard coming towards them.
Kana instinctually pushed Serna behind her as she turned toward the howls. A chill ran down her back as her gut told her this was nothing close to what she had dealt with so far.
“Flee! Flee!” cried a High Elf who barrelled past Kana.
“A Werewolf’s on the loose!” shrieked one woman in near hysterics.
“Run for your lives!” yelled a man carrying two small children under each arm.
“Where is the guard! HELP!” cried another woman grabbing her skirt as she ran.
A throng of Fair Weather’s citizenry tore past Kana and Serna as the roar of rage grew louder. In wide-eyed disbelief, Kana’s Ex-Servant watched the panic mass run by them before she turned to her friend, “Uh, Mistress Kana, what’s going on? One of those people cried Werewolf.”
Looking down at the finger that Kana bit a day ago, Serna asked with a hopeful grin, “Are you sure you can’t turn someone into a Werewolf by biting them and drinking their blood?”
"No. I can't," Kana answered. Then turning to her she told her, "Go find the others, and get them here. NOW!" Pushing Serna with her last word.
Without another word spoken, Kana’s Ex-Servant ran down the street after the fleeing crowd and as fast as her legs could carry her.
The Wolfen then pushed all thoughts of Serna out of her mind as she tensed readying for battle, and slightly morphed to a bigger size, with some of her Rage making her eyes glow. She didn't think anything of the thoughts she knew she would get as she howled back in defiance to the Were-wolves. She just hoped that the Guards wouldn't mistake her for one of the other creatures.
Suddenly the seemingly lifeless body of a Dwarf was hurled down the street into a flower stand and the true culprit of this act revealed itself. Kana came face to face with an enraged jet-black full Crinos Werewolf donned in the torn uniform of a City Guardsman whose mouth and claws were stained with blood.
Roaring in challenge at the Wolfen before him, the Werewolf raked its claws against a nearby stone wall, sharpening them to the point that sparks flew.
Without further warning or ceremony, the Lycanthrope charged at the Wolfen with a raised claw hoping to slash Kana with a killing blow to the throat.
