As the Werewolves on the other side slammed and banged themselves into the door that the Lieutenant held shut, Sor’n struggled to keep the door closed.
Finding his voice in the Common tongue once again, Sor’n yelled, “Get your armor on and get out of here! We have to find the others! We have to--”
Unfortunately, the Lieutenant never got the chance to finish his statement because two huge fur covered arms broke through the bathing door, pinned the Drow Lieutenant in a tight embrace against the wood and broke the door to pieces as Sor’n was yanked inside the bathing room.
Before The Lady Knight could reach her beloved, the second Werewolf crashed through the wall and cut Heidi off from where her lovemate was taken. Amid The Lieutenant’s screams of pain and cries of anger, the gray-furred Werewolf that Heidi confronted roared a challenge at the Lady Knight and bared his claws in preparation for her attack.
Heidi tied the blanket at the top, she knew it would be poor defence but she had little choice. Clawing back her fear, she unsheathed her sword and held it before her. She drew on some of her power to give her strength and the sword started to glow lightly.
With a certainty and bravery she did not feel, she said. "Come on, doggie, let's play." before launching herself at the Werewolf.
As Heidi launched herself at the Werewolf, the creature in turn took a swipe with its large claws at the Lady Knight. Missing her head entirely, the Little One had gotten beneath the creatures guard and now had a clear shot at its exposed flank.
Heidi swung for it with her sword, hoping that a cut tendon would slow it down and make the match a bit more even. She knew she was outclassed in strength and speed, she might have to use her healing power as a weapon but she didn't want to, she had a feeling she'd need her strength to help Sor'n.
The Lady Knight was successful in gutting the creature and snapping one of its tendons and two of its ribs as she struck with her sword. Though the creature grabbed its side with one hand, the Were-wolf backhanded the Lady Knight across the room and into the opposing wall. The Were-wolf howled in pain as it struggled to keep its insides in place as it turned its attention once more to its prey.
Heidi gasped in pain and held her own side as she coughed and spluttered, trying to get her breath back. She shook her head to try and focus, standing slowly. Gripping her sword tightly, she looked to the Werewolf, she could see it was dying, now to finish it.
"Lay down and I'll make it quick." She whispered, not trusting her voice not to shake if she spoke louder. This time when she charged, she swung for the throat.
From within the bathing room the cries of anger and pain that emanated from Sor’n and the roar of the Werewolf that attacked him were no longer heard. Only silence reigned as the creature Heidi confronted thrashed in anger and swiped at her with one of its paws to ward off the Lady Knight.
But Heidi true with her sword swung and neatly slit the throat of the creautre open. As it gurgled and renewed its thrashing while it choked to death on its own blood, a sound of munching and crunching could be heard coming from the bathing room.
((OOC: You guys need a civilised revelution. If we do, I've never recieved it, we do get tax credits and all that, but most incentives are for families, so if you don't have a kid you are on your own.))
((OOC: We may need a civilized revolution but a good friend of mine who studies American History posed an interesting suggestion to me. He said that what we REALLY need to do is confess to ourselves that the American Experiment has failed, that we had a nice 200 year run in the history books and that we need to apologize to the British for dumping their tea into Boston Harbor and beg the Queen to take us back! Ha! Ha! Ha! So, what do you think of that idea, Heidi? Considering the disposition of Her Majesty these days, do you think the Queen would be willing to forgive and forget and take us back into the fold of the British Commonwealth? Or Gordon Brown for that matter? Or the British people in general? Ha! Ha! Ha!))
((OOC: It would certainly be a surprise but it would be an interesting experiment to run, see if a country that big can be reintergrated into the Commonwealth.))
((OOC: Shame on you! Ha! Ha! Ha! You didn’t answer my question! Are you trying to hide something Little One? I asked: Considering the disposition of Her Majesty these days, do you think the Queen would be willing to forgive and forget and take us back into the fold of the British Commonwealth? Or Gordon Brown for that matter? Or the British people in general? Ha! Ha! Ha! I know America is not very popular in Britain these days, but you can level with me if you like.))
