"By the scales of Bahamut himself!" Willow shared Serna's astonishment, "What did we just do?"
"Tommy! Are you alright? Tommy!" Irzen ran towards his friend, dropped to his knees and rolled him over to examine The
Gamer, "Speak to me, pal! Come on! Speak to me!"
Alyson knew what had happened and why Tommy had passed out. The strain of such high magic takes it toll on those who are willing to pay the price for such an intense ritual. Especially when invoking the aid of powerful beings.
The most obvious thing was that Tommy had reverted to his human form. He was breathing slowly, and there was a faint but steady pulse, but he did not respond to Irzen's actions.
“He’s alive, thank God,” exasperated the Swordsman as he detected signs of life from the Gamer. Opening one of his friend’s eyes, Irzen studied his pupils and noted, “The lights are on, but nobody’s home.”

Kana stood in silence as the extent of what had just happened sunk in. After all those years, she was a bit fearful that she was dreaming and was going to wake up on the Tree. After a minute of nothing changing, she fell to her knees and started to cry, allowing the tears to flow freely and fearlessly.
Serna turned towards Kana with a questioning look, “Mistress Kana, are you alright? Is there something wrong?”
Then when the emotions could no longer be held, Kana howled a long, mournful howl for all those that were lost due to the Mercy's reign. Then after a moment of silence, she crawled over to Tommy to see if he was ok.
When the Wolfen was finished with her mournful bale, Serna moved towards Kana and wrapped her arms around the Wolfen to give her some comfort, “It’s alright, Mistress Kana. Everything is going to be alright.”
"It's just so much to take in," Kana told Serna. "I just don't think that it has fully set in yet, nor will it for a while."
"Don't worry, Mistress Kana, it will set in," Serna gave the Wolfen a comforting hug, "Not now, maybe, but I promise you.
One day, it will set in that you are finally free."

“Is there anything that we can do, Irzen?” inquired Willow reaching into his pouch for some herbs and other remedies he believed might help the situation.
“I don’t know,” replied the Swordsman with a questioning gaze to everyone, “Is there anything that any of you can do? Kana? You know of any magic that can rouse our friend? Alyson, do you know of any elemental spells that bring Tommy out of his coma? Seriah, you’re an Assassin. You know how to take life. Do you also know how to restore it as well? Heidi?”
The Swordsman turned to where The Lady Knight had been standing but noted that she had suddenly disappeared along with The Lieutenant.
“They picked a hell of a time to step out for tea!” snapped the Dark Elf before he turned to the others, “Is there anything anybody can do? Any ideas would be most welcome.”
"The same thing that would of happened to me, had I done the ceremony," The elementalist knelt down on the side
opposite of Lord Irzen. "He will be fine in a day or two depending on the deal he made with those spirits. It could be three hours, or three days. Only the wisest, or fool hardy attempt such ceremonies, and only those who have prior experience,"
Alyson paused and looked at the others in the party, "And I would say that would be Tommy and me. Looks like I'm not the only sorceror in the group. Sorceror's magic is natural and comes from within people like the gamer and myself.
We're born with it. Wizards and mages must learn magic and rely on wands and staves and other trinkets to supply magic. Without them, they're just ordinary people."
"That's all well and good, High Lady Alyson," confessed the Swordsman, "But all you have said still does not tell me exactly what has happened to my friend. Is he dead? Is he half-dead? Is he going to become undead? Is he merely unconscious? Or is he slowly dying in my arms? Please tell me exactly what has happened to him rather than why it has happened. Thanks."
Kana had a small nagging thought that seemed to connect to what Waylon had said about her people and the Pack, but wasn't sure how to proceed.
"How does he channel the magic?" Kana asked curiously as an idea started to form into her mind.
"I don't know," admitted the Swordsman, "He has an Item of Power like we all do, but he was never open with us about what his item was. And I never exactly took the time to rifle through his pockets while he slept. Why do you ask, Kana? Can his Item of Power have anything to do with his current condition?"
"You know, I have an idea, that all of you may want to ponder upon," offered War Scribe, "How about I take all of you back to MY library. The answer to whatever ails Tommy can be found there if it can't be found anywhere else in The Realm. What do you say, guys," The Drowling opened her hands to all of them, "Care for a trip to The Regulators' Memorial Library?"
((OOC Tommy: Tommy's physical condition is stable, but any attempt to waken or communicate with him will fail. On the off chance that anybody has some magic or ability that would allow them to detect such, his soul is not currently in residence.))
((OOC: An intriguing dilemma to say the least. Resolving this one should be interesting.))
