"You know, I have an idea, that all of you may want to ponder upon," offered War Scribe, "How about I take all of you back to MY library. The answer to whatever ails Tommy can be found there if it can't be found anywhere else in The Realm. What do you say, guys," The Drowling opened her hands to all of them, "Care for a trip to The Regulators' Memorial Library?"
"My thoughts had gone back to that place, War Scribe," Kana said. "But not for the same reasons. While there, trying to get Willow back, I took whatever crown that was on his head off and had to... um... absorb the power, so to say? Well, there was a fight were I did get injured, but healed almost instantly. Then when we went to the forest I passed out. When I awoke, the grass was a bit greener and longer than the rest. Waylon telling me about my kind and having an ability cleared things up for me. Especially with my Teacher. But if Tommy has an Item of Power he draws off of, I'm not sure I can be of much help. And I only have an idea of what to do."
The Gamer had nothing to add to the conversation at this point.
"If you have an idea which you think could help Tommy then by all means share it, Kana," The Dark Elf suggested, "Now is not the time to hold out on us--especially with someone's life in the balance."
Turning to the Drowling, Irzen added, "And War Scribe, for once, you actually came up with a good idea."
"Thanks!" beamed the Chronicler before she frowned, "Hey! Was that a backhanded compliment or what?"
A chuckle slipped from both the elementalist and the assassin in unison.
Moving Tommy up to a sitting position, the Dark Elf slipped his arm around Tommy's shoulder and tried to hoist the Gamer to his feet, "Good grief! What has he been eating? He weighs a ton. Willow, can you help me out here?"
The Ranger slipped under The Gamer's other arm to support him while Irzen announced to everyone, "I'm taking Tommy to The Great Library to find a cure for his condition. If you want to come along and help, you're more than welcome to do it. If you want to return to The Harlech Inn and tell Neven about Tommy's fate, go right ahead. I will not think less of you for doing it."
The Dark Elf turned to The Elementalist, "High Lady Alyson, I cannot and will not wait for whatever has Tommy to let him go a day, a week, a month or a year from now. I want my friend back and I want him back now. If we cannot find what we need in War Scribe's Library, then his cure was never mean't to be found." Addressing everyone else he added, "Are you coming with us or staying behind ladies? Kana? Serna? Seriah? Alyson?"
"We are coming, swordsman," answered the assassin right behind Alyson, "I have yet to see this library of the chronicler."
"I'm with Mistress Kana," declared Serna looking towards The Wolfen, "Whatever she wants to do and wherever she wants to go, I will do the same."
"I'm going," Kana said as she grabbed Serna's hand and then War Scribe. "I'll explain myself when we get there. War Scribe? Is the forest still connected to the Library? I think I'll need some form of plant life."
"Of course it is, you silly Wolfen," War Scribe playfully tapped Kana on her nose, "My library is always attached to The Arboretum just like it is always attached to the Woods Between The Worlds. Just don't go wandering off again and getting yourself lost, young lady, okay?"
"I won't venture far this time," Kana agreed.
Once The Swordsman placed his hand on the Drowling's shoulder, War Scribe crowed, "All aboard!" And in an instant the Realmers were teleported from the wheat fields of Fair Weather to the Arboretum of The Great Library.
Looking around Irzen complained, "Correct me if I am wrong, but this is NOT the Great Library! Scribe, why did you bring us to The Arboretum?"
"Because my Scruffy, Wuffy Wolfie wanted me to bring us here," the Drowling cooed as she wrapped her arms around Kana's waist and gave The Wolfen a warm hug, "Gee, Kana, your fur is so warm and so soft. You're my Scruffy, Wuffy Wolfie yes you are!"
"Uh! Mistress Kana, I think Lady War Scribe is drooling on you," admitted Serna with a questioning look at The Drowling's behavior.
"Okay, Kana, since we're all here and while War Scribe's channelling her inner Elmira, how about you explain to us what you were talking about earlier." The Swordsman asked as he motioned for Willow Bark to lower Tommy to the ground, "We're here in the Arboretum, there's plenty of plant life around and you have our undivided attention. By all means, proceed."
"Well, I'm a bit hazy on what happened," Kana explained. "But when Waylon stated that my kind has certain abilities I remembered what my Teacher had told me about channeling. He was always telling me to 'pull it in and send it down'. I didn't really understand, but with Gonathrandi I started to get an idea. Then with the incedent with War Scribe and Willow and this place, I've had a feeling. Once Waylon clarified it.... well, I think I can absorbe magic without much affect to me and release it into the earth, and I wanted someone to attache me with magic. Just magic."
