As the trio of Adventures moved three-quarters of the way up the mountain carved staircase, the figures at the top of the stairs regarded them not with curiosity but with contempt. The tallest of the men cried out in a booming voice, "Lord Tanaka! High Lady Alyson! Lady Kana! Honored Guests of Aurilaz the Terrible! You have been expected by the Sagacious Wyrm! As you come in peace, bring forth your gift to Aurilaz the Mighty, and follow me!"
Tommy nodded. At this stage, he would have been surprised if Aurilaz hadn't known who they were and why they were here. Turning slightly towards Kana, he smiled. "There, see? Nothing to worry about. After you."
Kana raised an eyebrow, giving Tommy a look that said 'Don't be so sure.' Holding out the box on display in her hands, she proceeded to lead the other three and follow the tall man.
