All is well in the deaf musical frontier! Its been an interesting week having released my last newsletter and received over 500 wonderful e mails and two really sad and jealous e mails. Jealousy comes in many forms and i find that sad since thats not what im all about. But you deal with it the best you can then move right along because the other 500 great e mails always lifts up your spirits! Remember folks, im a very PROUD deaf man and all that i speak here i speak with PRIDE! I never ever allow anyone to tell me how to move, how high to jump, when to roll over or sleep or what to write! Now thats pride! Some new info. I have been contacted by my good friend Paul from South Africa and he has told me that world famous drummer (hearing) Ginger Baker whom played in the band "Cream" with Jack Bruce whom wrote the song 'White room" and "Sunshine of your love" in the 1960's wants to work with me. That did be amazing! Eric Clapton also known as "Ol' slow hand" was in that band(Cream) in the 60's. For those of you whom don't know who Eric Clapton is, he has had many top ten hits and wrote a song called "If i could change the world" for a John Travolta movie and several other soundtracks. Also i may be heading for South Africa for several shows,details yet to be confirmed. Stay tuned. Looking very good right now! As of yesterday,my web site has gone over the 35,000 (Thirty five thousand) mark! Special congrualtions go to one of my staff members Angel Ramos whom is now the Idaho school for the deaf superintendent! Rock on Angel! It puts my company in a bigger and better position,without a doubt! I finally got ahold of my web master as ya all know who is suffering from blood clots and a tumor on his lung and i finally found out that his mother board burned out and he is getting it fixed asap so he can FINALLY update my web site. New show announcements. We have recently agreed to do a show at the Oct 27,2001 Iowa deaf woman against abuse in Des Moines Iowa and its a cause that i FULLY support! Im very excited about it! Many Hearing people don't understand how the Deaf can enjoy music. I think they may have an even deeper appreciation for it than the Hearing do. Although my sister cannot play any instruments or sing, I interpret the words of songs to her when she feels a beat that she likes. I will tell her if it is Madonna or whoever is singing on the radio. She loves it. She really enjoyed seeing your show at the Deaf Expo.
