Posted by vita gottlieb on 10/19/2001, 8:12 am I would like to hear also from anyone with opinions on this topic who is interested in helping me with my research. The film will be shot fairly soon so I'm eager to find an individual to take part as soon as possible. It will be screened on Channel Four in the Autumn so you will have an opportunity to put forward your ideas and your opinions to a wide audience on the new series of VEE-TV. All replies to vita@bluerayfilms.com Many thanks, looking forward to hearing from you soon, Vita
I am looking for someone who lives in the London area (UK) to take part in a short docuemtnary for VEE-TV about the joys of deafness and silence. Is there anyone out there who sometimes loves the veil of silence around them, the bubble of deafness which isolates them from the bustle and (inescapable) noise of the outside world? Particularly in the busy city metropolis, do you relish your hearing impairment sometimes whn it suits you to do so, and sit back enjoying the dreams and thoughts in your head, whilst shutting out the rest of the world? Have you recently gone deaf, or have you always been deaf, and occasionally find a virtue in being so?
