We are casting directors in Los Angeles and are casting the sequel to the 20th Century Fox film THE SANDLOT. We are looking for the following:
SAMMY "FINGERS" SAMUELSON - 12 years old, jewish with a big, red afro, though he's deaf, he's very chatty and uses sign language to make constant commentary.
SAUL SAMUELSON - 11 years old - a bit of a smart alec, Saul serves as FINGERS' translator - MUST KNOW SIGN
Sammy is deaf and Saul is not. I am hoping that you could point me to an organization or publication (print or on-line) so that we can get the word out to the deaf community. We are having auditions in Los Angeles but those in other parts of the country could videotape themselves to be considered.
