Sabertooth is a vicious killer (as portrayed throught Weapon X) and only became a member of X-Factor because of the dog collar Forge created (and so Sabertooth could later try and kill X-Factor) and Mystique is a double crossing manipulator. Then again the team set-up could come out of the Apocalypse storyline thats coming up, and maybe tie into why Cable's building his council. BTW, Fabian responded to a post regarding Cable becoming an X-Man (again) on the T-Bolts board:

I'm hoping that Cable being an X-Man (again) has a postive effect on C/DP - maybe some X-Men appearances in C/DP or a DP appearance in X-Men.
