Also I liked Peter David's Captain Marvel series, so wouldn't mind seeing how he would handle Deadpool - BUT I also think Fabian has written DP perfectly and don't want to see DP become restricted because he's on a team (although he would get to be with Siryn more often Thoughts/Opinions?

Well since Cable may be becoming an X-Man again (http://members2.boardhost.com/Deadpools/msg/1137838658.html), it now looks like Marvel **MAY** be looking to add Deadpool to the X-Factor team,
