I was surfing the Marvel site and found the preview for issue 30. Looks like DP will be tangling with Daredevil once again! I'm excited. I really enjoyed the DP/DD/Typhoid Mary stuff from his original series. That DP/DD Annual is a classic!
Dear X-Guys:
Wow, what an ending to issue 4, huh? Now the entire fandom of X-FACTOR can only wonder about one thing: How is Siryn's on-and-off boy toy (at least in his eyes) Deadpool going to respond to finding out about his girl getting beat like that?
Response by Peter David:
Richard, the two most asked questions I've been getting are: when is Deadpool going to show up and get involved with Siryn, and when is Shatterstar going to show up and get involved with Rictor. As if the book isn't crowded enough. You know what I should do? I should have Shatterstar show up and get involved with Deadpool. Piss off everybody in one shot. Think I wouldn't do i? Dude, I'm the one who had Marlo suck face with Moondragon. I can see it now - Shatterstar and Rictor in the story you've always wanted to see: "Brokeback Mutant." Andy? Could you set up a meeting with Joe Q? I've got a pitch for him...
So take that for what it is I guess. My personal opinion is that DP should find someone else. He had a shot with Siryn, it didn't work, move on. They'd never really work out. Irene on the other hand...
