That was EXACTLY what i've been thinking ever since the start of cable deadpool!! since the first few issues of CDP... he hasn't been the same. i've sent an email over to marvel/writers before. the first few mini-series of deadpool made him look SO badass.. he'd crack jokes while taking out people with NO problem. when he was first introdcued.. he could almost take down the whole x-force on his own.. throughout his first original series.. his humour was bumped up.. but nonetheless he was just as deadly as before.. now.. he gets duct taped? squirrel girl beats him? the great lakes avengers beat him? (he beat the great lakes avengers before!!) i mean... he used to skewer wolverine! yes.. i agree.. if this punchingbag/goof/slapstick character is his new image.. very very sad news.... i almost get the feeling that the writing has actually ignored all of his previous history.. althought it's funny.. cause it's his co-creator fabian. i haven't been seeing jokes about characters he's already met. something could have easily been said when DP met Cap again (he kicked him in the nuts before).. or great lakes avengers.. or his pretty big history with taskmaster.. please bring back the old DP! (for those "new" readers.. pick up "the circle chase" and "sins of the past".. both of which the writing and ART were much better than what we've been seeing in the last few issues....) --Previous Message-- : Does anyone else kinda miss that Deadpool? : : I understand the need to make him look bad : for the sake of Cables part in the book : right now.
