Posted by Steven on March 14, 2006, 23:50:24 Most notable about the show was Morrison singin "poor Otis dead and gone, left me here to sing his song" during When The Music's Over. The other thing was that toward the end of their set Morrison was really going off on tangents and there was no rhythm which really seemed to piss off John Densmore who got so fed up that he threw down his drum sticks and walked off stage for the rest of the set.

This was the first "San Francisco Music Scene" concert that I went to (the first Bill Graham Presents concert.) My oldest brother, Greil, took me I am pretty sure I went to the December 28th concert. I was really excited about the concert because not only was I going to see/hear The Doors in concert for the first and only time in my life, but Otis Redding too! Unfortunately Otis was killed a couple of weeks before the show and Chuck Berry took his place backed up by The Steve Miller Band.
