I also played this thing back in elementary school. Going to university this fall, but I still remember and do care about this game, even though I understand that it won't ever be completed. At least not by you, Devin.
It took me like five hours or so to get to the end (of what had been developed), can't remember clearly right now. Has it already been seven years since that time?
Anyway, you did some great work on this piece of software. The graphics were good, enemies were cool and diverse, and I felt the stats and all that were properly balanced.
If only I had some proper vision regarding what to do with the game further on...!
