Posted by Patrick Both his sire and dam came out of breeding programs that were combining classic Arabian type with ability to perform under saddle. His sire Chalil completed the 100 day stallions performance test of Medingen in 1983 with an outstanding 114,47 points. His full-brother Vashara Ghasal is siring successful endurance horses in France. His Ansata-free pedigree makes him without any doubt an interesting outcross (in fact, his sisters have already produced outstanding offspring with Ansata bred stallions).

This asil straight Egyptian stallion is a typical representative of the hadban enzahi strain and a true athletic powerhouse. He combines desert type with athletic ability, size 162 cm (16 hands) and has raced to prove his soundness. He was class winner for two consecutive years at the national championships. Although Chamal might scare some of today's "china doll" show breeders as he is all horse, he looks tough as if he came straight out of the desert, a real charger, size, the most ground covering movements you can imagine and displayes extreme dryness with webs of veins shining through his skin.
