The Midwest Horse Welfare foundation of WI is in the care2 online contest winning $ to help support them. In addition to helping over 800 horses of all breeds, Midwest in '03 literally took a SE mare off the kill truck that led to the rescue of more SE including the mare's son who in '07 ribboned in 9 classes at the Egyptian Event including blue and reds and won his rider JR high point as well as being awarded the El Gohara award.
