Posted by ChicksHateMe on 8/6/2004, 10:29 am Here is my contribution to help in removing such a dangerous product from the consumers reach, a letter to http://www.hotus.com ############################## "Proactively promote and be an example of ethical behavior." As they re-read this, they should consider the products they are promoting and how they affect the consumers who trust them in marketing safe products. Where there have been so many people that have had problems with one particular product line, such as Epil-Stop, they should reconsider their investment in such a product line. From hotus website investment "In March 2000 the Company expanded its product lines through its acquisition of a 55 percent interest in Tactica International, Inc. ("Tactica"). Tactica sells, principally under the IGIA® and Epil-stop® trade names, personal care items, including hair dryers, paraffin baths and depilatories, as well as a number of other consumer items reaching consumers primarily through television infomercial advertising and catalog sales." The CEO and Senior Financial Officers can view comments from some of those who have been injured by this product line by visiting; http://members2.boardhost.com/EpilSurvivors The sooner they re-read their "Code of Ethics" and realize this product is NOT in the best interest of the company and it's consumers, the sooner the scar of carrying such a product will be removed from this companies face. This ethical move would also protect future users from possible life-long scarring as well. Chicks CC: FDA - CAERS@cfsan.fda.gov

If a product such as this can cause so much damage, it should not be available without prescription. What is the company and FDA thinking??
I feel your CEO and Senior Financial Officers should re-read the code of ethics available on the investment portion of the website and FOCUS on the written line;
