After 20 years of battling dark hair on my upper lip and then whiskers on my face, I began doing my own research. Certain medical conditions such as hormonal imbalances, polycystic ovaries, hirsutisim, high testosterone levels can cause women to grow facial hair and excessive hair on the body. I went and had blood work done and discovered I had polycystic ovaries which caused an imbalance in my hormones. I was precribed a medication called Spironolactone which was originally used as a diuretic for heart patients. Apparently this med stablizes androgens (male hormones) which may increase testosterne levels. It takes a few months, but soon you will notice body and facial hair thining significantly and may eventually disappear. This works as long as you stay on the med but one way to reduce thick hairs or make it barely noticable. I take 2 25mg tablets 2x daily. Bonus...it also will reduce ademia (water retention) so you may loose some body weight as well....Lazor is the best for permant removal, however this may be a good solution for some. A healthy diet as well will also keep hormones in balance, eat more whole foods, and stay away from anything that is processed. Combined, I have found I wax less and shave less as well. Good luck guys and gals
