I think the Lescott debacle did a lot more damage than expected for Moyes. Lescotts interview in the Mail (below) has a lot of insights into DMs style of management.
Certainly, there seems to be a few senior players not performing and when the doubts start to creep in, it can cause bigger problems.
We did neither one thing or the other tonight, too many square pegs in round holes ...... I would have preferred to give all the kids a run out instead of playing players out of position.
Certainly I doubt if the result could have been any worse ....... Agard instead of Jo, Baxter getting a chance, Duffy beside Distin, Coleman at right back with Gosling in front of him.
