I agree re Distin. What looked like a decent stop-gap buy is now looking like bad business. Turner, Taylor or Shawcross would have been much better for around the same price, and they're all younger. Fellaini and Cahill are not on form. Billy needs longer to settle probably.
I've always liked Pienaar but his injury has really emphasised how much he means to the team. With him and Arteta both out we have little creativity. Rodwell is having a good season (can we please keep hold of him past his 19th birthday? Please?) and obviously Saha too.
So Pienaar, Rodwell and Saha best players so far IMO.
