Well done - takes some doing I imagine.
Mind you, I Hope you weren't one of those, still walking around town with the medal on, hours after the 'race' (or wearing the baco-foil cape)
I was walking through town yesterday and was thinking to myself 'considering most are running for 'charidee', there's a very boastful element to this'.
T-shirts with "I ran the Dublin marathon" (being worn by people I'd seen AMBLING past earlier).
Sorry to seem such a cynic, but it does and always has got on my nerves this large...um.. slightly sanctimonious shower that seems to get involved in marathons.
I remember being in London and a feller walked past with a medal and a t-shirt that said "You saw impossible - I saw the finish line" (adidas)
I said "Hey mate, why don't you just get one that says 'I love me' on it"
He says 'I don't get it"
Liar! (if ONLY I'd been wearing a t-shirt that said "Actually, I see a cuunt!")
