: The womens mini marathon tops it for me
: though. These heroes have to cover a
: distance of 10km. Most of them are bet down
: middle aged housewives who look like they
: could do with a good seeing too but would
: have a heart attack at the sight of a pair
: of plums. Running the 10 km is also out of
: the question as it's highly likely that they
: might break a sweat.

: Having worked in catering I've dealt with
: participants after the event. Most of them
: are in such shock that they've been
: displaced for a few hours from Wysteria Lane
: that they go on a mad food binge. I mean,
: they've just strolled 10 km in about 3
: hours. Most of them are gulled into
: believing that if they complete the marathon
: they might lose weight when all they're
: doing is losing fluids. I've seen them lash
: into steaks and burgers, probably the only
: bunch of people to put on weight by the end
: of the day.
:
: Agree with you EJ, that lot with the medals
: are akin to the jester hat wearing, face
: painted muppets you see on the Kop or at
: International football matches. What next?
: Running the marathon in the buff?
