We exported a nice footballer, you guys messed him up
His finest hour in a Shels shirt was two goals in Lansdowne Road against Lille. It was all downhill after that!

: Pity you had no goalposts when Glen was there

: Unfortunately the Ballyoulster end of things
: went very quiet along with Celtic Horizons,
: we keep our end of the bargain with EFC and
: are looked after very well accordingly. I
: was up in Ballyoulster recently for our FAI
: Intermediate cup game against Lucan Utd (won
: 2-1 aet), sadly no signs of any links. But
: it's up to them to keep it alive. In my
: position at Broadford I need to keep that
: end of things at arms length.
:
: We just took in a new crop of 5 and 6 year
: olds at the Academy a few weeks ago and were
: wondering who amongst them will be famous
: one day. We've seen one full international
: come through in Richie Sadlier and a few
: others broke in to the Lague of Ireland in
: Eamon Zayed and Glenn Fitzpatrick, our most
: famous export being Padraig Harrington but
: we can't claim much credit for his golf
: swing!

: I won't be anywhere near them either on
: Sunday, as my own lads have a key game away
: at Avonmore (Rathfcukingdrum), half way up a
: ploughed fcuking field, open to the
: elements, at a location officially known as
: "beside Avondale House".
:
: Our LSL side got twatted last week in the
: Intermediate Cup, at Sacred Heart in
: Tallaght. By all accounts the game was
: played in and around the SH area but we got
: done 3-2 aet.
:
: Still waiting for a match report from that
: game for the website!!! Deffo a team that
: only sings when it's winning...
:
: Unlike the junior side.....
:
: Speaking of which, without being deemed to
: be shit stirring, can I ask a genuine
: question to all concerned -
:
: What EXACTLY is the link between Everton and
: Ballyoulster? We sent our 15's there the
: week before last and not for the first time
: absolutely twatted them. 12-0 with the game
: ending early, in the National Cup. It's not
: the first time since EFC announced a deal
: that Ballyoulster have been on the end of a
: right royal hammering from one of our sides
: here in Arklow.
:
: Mindful of Jim's obvious link with the club
: (Ballyoulster), am I wrong to suggest
: Everton have done absolutely nothing bar
: offer token lip service? If something's to
: come of it, then great - as Evertonians,
: that's what we all want to see, something
: happening over here no matter where.
: However, in time honoured cynical Evertonian
: fashion, I think I'll be holding my breath
: for a while yet.
:
: Kids football's where it's at
: Dermot.....keep building there at
: Broadford.....they're yer future!!! Fly the
: flag!
