Benfica were brilliant and will probably win this competition, but as if it was not bad enough being exposed we were utterly clueless as well...
One of the worst performances I have seen under Moyes. A team lacking spirit, energy, but also ability... where can you start? Everything was wrong. It was totally embarrassing!
Are we really that bad?
We had 3 players on the field valued at 50 million! Even they were useless...
My verdict is that you cannot put out a team with Distin, Yobo, Hibbert (again!), Gosling, Yakubu, Jo (when he came on)and expect anything better!
The collective awfulness was overwhelming.
Benfica broke our hearts.
This team will not survive against Hammers.
And with Ure, Shite, AEK away, and Spurs on radar it looks like being a long ugly month...
Will Art, Nev, Jags, Peanuts back and King Louis up front make the difference... You'd like to think so but really I am not sure anymore.
This team looks beaten all sides up.
Talk about not pretty!
