Something tells me that there is a little something in the pipeline here. I honestly feel that Royle would love another crack at the job. Here's three reasons why:
Read Royle's book. His resignation is one of the most bizarre episodes in the club's history, and one of the least publicised. He regrets this and regret is not an over riding feeling throughout the book.
At the start of last season he was hovering quite a bit, a lot of commentary on pre season friendlies and the like. I can't remember him being critical of Moyes at any point though but you get the impression that his interest was more than just waffling about the state of the team. I think the man genuinely cares about the club.
His latest proviso (link attached). Why say that now? I hope Moyes stays on board but he must have a pain in his swiss with Kenwright and having to sell every summer in order to buy at the last minute.
This season will pan out like 05/06 with one exception, the UEFA Cup. The result in Athens last night makes it look like a home win against BATE could see us through. With players back soon, we might make a push in this competition. However, after nearly 8 years at the helm Moyes may not have much patience left. Manager wise Celtic and Scotland look like they're fcuked and he may head north.
Of course Dubtone and Marto will both have their bugles out hoping he takes Yobo with him!
