There wasn't any. Time and again someone had the ball in the final third (usually Fellaini or Gosling who I felt sorry for), looked up and realised the only option was the heavily marked Yak.
Billy rarely ran his line and Cahill sat most of the time. The latter was surely a tactical order, god knows why. Hibbert was his usual cautious self on the right (understandable considering his lack of ability) and Gosling - who did make a few runs - found himself outnumbered with little assistance.
I really couldn't understand what the game plan was. Benfica are very good going forward but the one or two times when we did try and attack (as a team, flooding forward) they looked incredibly shaky. Agard's introduction exposed the rest of the team I thought. He was bright and eager, he showed desire and a hunger to win, all of which were missing from the majority of his team mates.
Moyes has to make up his mind where certain players should play, what their best positions are. Is it just me or do a lot of his buys look as though he hasn't really thought about where they'll fit?
