It promised nothing for next season, apart from, maybe, Stones and Galloway. The only consolation is, that I won't be starting it with any hope. I have no faith in Martinez and fear things can only get worse. Lets "hope" I'm wrong
It's also sad to see the forum ending. Like our season, it seemed to peter out and fade away. I suppose all good things come to an end sometime. It's been overtaken by Facebook and Twitter, but I'm not into either of those, so I don't reckon I'll be posting anytime soon. I guess times change and we have to move on. Ronan and co are doing great work in keeping the flame alive and I will admire from a distance. Am just an old fogey I guess.
I enjoyed the forum while it lasted, the many discussions, debates, laughs. There seems to be very little of that now, apart from Toffeeweb, which is very good, but can also be very negative (just like this post !!??). I suppose there's only so much we can say about football without repeating ourselves over and over.
Anyway, thanks to everyone who entertained me on the forum in the past, the great committee for administering it and keeping it going. Those were the days.
Best of luck to you all at the forthcoming Legends Night. Unfortunately, I will not be able to attend, but I'll be there in spirit. I know you'll all have a wonderful time.
Looking forward to seeing everyone at future Legend Nights and trips to Goodison.
Thanks to our hardworking committee for another great season. Your committment is awe inspiring.
Roll On next season. Forever Singing The Blues
