It was great to see such a large turnout and as usual, Duncan kept the meeting on track, starting and finishing on schedule, and maintaining an entertaining, but efficient order throughout.
Great reports from Geraldine, Tom, Joe and Ronan about all the wonderful activities and events in the past year, and proposals for the coming season.
I don't know where the committee gets it's time, energy and motivation. It was hard to believe that this is just a part-time committee, as the work is always highly professional and efficient. When you see all the activities combined in one report, it's simply amazing.
Good to see the new committee elected with three new members in Peter, Hughie and Colm, who have always given great service anyway, even from outside of the committee ranks.
Sorry to see the equally hardworking Dom step down also, but we were assured he will always be close by if called on.
It was also great watching the game v Spurs afterwards with a load of Irish Toffee's. We lived through the hope and pain together.
Unfortunately, I didn't make the 5 aside Jim Kearney Memorial tournament beforehand, but judging by the reception the teams and players received, it too, was highly successful. The prizes were very impressive, with Gerry's team winning out.
Well done to Frank also, on winning the Dermot Nealon, Player of the Tournament. He's not content with winning the Boat Trip Quizzes, but he blows us all away on the pitch too!! Is there no end to the mans talent??
Anyway, thanks to the committee for the successful AGM, all the great work last year and best of luck to the new committee. Without ye, we simply wouldn't be here.
Looking forward to the new season.
Come On You Blues.
