Posted by Mark on 9/22/2006, 9:33 am, in reply to "Re: OUR WATERWAYS!!" I don't think John's views are extreme at all as I agree with them and the case presented is very strong. The pictures say most. You will find most people in Liverpool and on the Wirral agree with him. I have pointed a few people to this web site and not one has taken your view at all, with nearly all saying it was about time someone stood up and shouted. I hope all the councillors and planners read this web site to bring them down to earth from the developers glossy schmaltz. Keeping the dock waters and digging out filled in docks is something I am all for in the redundant docks. I don't want to debate point for point with you as you tend to go on and around in circles and became very trite. Your exchanges with John at first were interesting and entertaining then they became trite. My knowledge of the history of the docks is not strong enough for me to enter into such a debate, and I don't have the time to enter into long debates as I would have to go away and start reading thick history books to reply. I appreciate the historical information you and John have posted to back your views. You are strongly giving the opposite view which is OK and so far have not swayed me. Whether you are playing devils advocate I'm not sure. I want to close saying from a non-emotional view, that I agree with the aims of the web site.
