I stumbled upon this site and was surprised at the rot going on. This is very serious stuff. I lodged an objection as you have hit the nail on the head here. These people cannot be allowed to get away with what they are doing by ignoring the heritage status contract. I hope UNESCO slate them all. If the city loses World Heritage Status that will be the end of any revival which shows gross incompetence by the city for allowing all this to happen.
