I think one aspect we should consider here is the fact about the total number of fcba fights currently available. Disregardless of talent, Theron and her fighter generation were just getting tons of more fights. The stats have changed since then. That's why it seems entirely logical to me that, let's say, a hundred fights NOW could well be compared, in regards to a win/loss record, to Theron's 320+. Just looking at Charlize's fight number - which, by purely looking at a prospect of maybe one PPV every three/four weeks nowawadays, simply ain't reachable - is giving the wrong picture. Not a quality question by all means.
Righetti/Theron didn't happen in 2009 for a variety of reasons. Management-related, on both sides.
I don't disagree with you about Ali's loss to Holmes not being representative for his overall quality. I just don't think the analogy works here. If you're saying that this - the "big picture" and the 85 over 15 edge you mention - applies to Theron/Righetti, you're obviously, just a LITTLE bit, biased. I mean, Amanda's been winning 80 percent of her fights against top competition for the last two years, and according to you that would mean about almost zero, because she didn't fight Theron in her supposed prime, right? Don't think that's fair.
