LCA owner Vassago sits behind his desk and browses the emails when he hears the knocking on the door and moments later a familiar figure enters the room.
Kim: "I knew you were up here, your secretary let me in."
V: "That's allright, Kim. I've been checking the mail to find out what's going on. The girls won't hit the gym until next Tuesday and I don't know if that's a good idea."
Kim: "I'm the coach, remember? They're doing their personal fitness training right now and don't need to see the gym for the next few days. If they're not in top shape, it's pointless to have them over here."
V: "Word is, you're still among the elite. I didn't hire you because of the crush I had on you years back..."
Kim: "No problem, chief. Half of this country had a crush on me and the ones who didn't were probably blind.. But hey, that salary you've offered me also helped me make up my mind... I won't ask you about the girls, but I guess even Eva won't earn as much?"
V: "Girls will earn their salary in the ring.. but of course there's a personal bonus from my private account available if I like what I see regardless of the result..."
Kim: "I wonder how long will that last..."
V: "I'm a patient man, Kim. But I've got other good news.. Tractorpull has send me a couple of emails. I guess I can say they have noticed us. Whatever exposure we can get, it's good for the biz. And they haven't flushed us down the toilet already."
Kim: "We've got some veterans on board and like half of FCBA has been touting Freeman into stardom for months... I reckon we won't be seeking exposure Jenny Mac style? Offending everyone around and then some?"
V: "Neah, girls know they can't be distracted by trash-talk all the time.. we've got no internal rivalry within our stable... one girl per division.. the future is theirs for the taking..."
Kim: "Now you're talking crap, chief. And as for the trash-talk, when I called Jessica Lowndes the other day she was all over Leighton Meester. I knew she's the spring chicken around here, but heck, incurring the wrath of the allegedly best FCBA stable is not a good way to start your career.."
V: "Jessica had some fights before and she actually defeated Meester on her debut which opened few eyes.."
Kim: "You've been in England sorting out the BBU stuff back then, trust me, hardly anyone took notice of that and Meester's not even the Lookout's pin-up girl. I admit, I like the kid, but she's been playing second fiddle too long there. I don't blame Lookout, though, with their wealth of talent they can cover a number of posts. But they're very close to each other, even if Jessica somehow makes Leighton her pigeon, then the remainer of Lookout flyweights will go after her straight away... You can't underestimate the likes of Fox and Simpson... that's a deadly trinity right there to cover Meester's back...
V: "Speaking of the trinity, I wonder what's up with Michalka and her willingness to fight Odette?"
Kim: "I have no clue about that one... Perhaps she's back in California... hire some press perople to find out!"
V: "You know that your salary cut me short on the expenses.. until the girls start to make some hay, we're not expanding our press office.."
Kim: "I'm worth every penny you're paying me, chief. I'm sure Bazz will answer the bell after the next Asylum card, during the PPV requests.. well, I'm hoping that either he or Michalka herself will... Thx for your time, chief... but I need to make some calls... Jessica comes first.. the wrath of Lookout is looming and she's too young and too damn silly to notice that...
LCA trainer heads for the door but pauses for a moment and turns around:
"One last thing, chief.. When you're going back to England?"
V: "On Friday... I have a few fights arranged in London and need to supervize them in person... and we've got the damn Easter.. I'll be back on Tuesday to finally see the girls in the gym... no excuses for being late, even for Eva!
Kim: "No problem, chief. I'll make sure they will be ready! Besides Eva won't overlook her age being mentioned! She'll do everything to prove that the Ruah win was no fluke! See ya next week!"
