Fred is in his office pouring over the baseball results before going home. His phone rings
Fred: Hi Tess: What do you have for me
Tess: Been an unexpectedly busy weekend. First Foxfire signed a new fighter. Eloise Mumford. Of course I have never heard of her and of course I have never seen the River. About all I am watching now is baseball games and what I can catch on-demand late at night. I note she has three movies coming out, but they all look like they will come out straight to Itunes or Amazon. I didn’t think the picture was very flattering.
Fred: So you going to diss her?
Tess: I don’t do that anymore after Mr Hawkeye reamed me a new one. I will just wait and see how she does. She could do great, but she is in a tough division
Fred: What else?
Tess: We had Lawrence/Judd. Lawrence looked sensational in flattening Judd in four Now Jennifer Garner decided she wanted Judd and Lawrence on her farewell tour. Well she got Judd and took care of her in seven. It was a good win for Jennifer. (we know the six week rule but they have to be referred to now)
Fred: I saw the Ryan/ LaRue beach brawl
Tess: Yeah that was a great fight. Too bad Eva had to lose. Guess what? Garner now wants Ryan on her farewell tour. I tell you every time some fighter wins, Jennifer wants her on her farewell tour. I think she is booked through 2015 unless the world ends on 12/21.
Fred: I saw where the Wiz gave a little welter pep talk at the end of the press conference. Looked like he was looking at you
Tess; No he wouldn’t do that. He is too nice. You know, we at Tractorpull have heard the same thing now for years. It hasn’t happened. If anybody can make it happen it’s the Wiz, but right now he seems to be the only one on the page.
Fred: Looked like you had a good time at the Asylum
Tess: I did. LIke I have said I like Jenny. She is fun. We are not best buddies but we are not at each others throats anymore. I know Ruah had an mismatched opponent but I thought she was impressive. I think Ruah and Lawrence are the two most exciting new fighters.
Fred: How did the predictions go?
Tess: Better. I was 5-2 making the total since the PPV 13-14 and still have some fights outstanding. Even with the bad PPV my record is pretty good. I am going to wait until all the fights are in before announce the new percentage. It certainly is going to suffer. but maybe not that much.
Fred: How was your Easter?
Tess: Well you know Avril with her unique sense of humor didn’t start the Ayslum card until after midnight. By time we went to the press conference and out to eat with Front Street, it was 3:30 by time I got to bed. Smackey could have stayed at the Manor but refused saying he had to go home and take care of his dog
Fred: That’s nice of him
Tess: He doesn’t have a dog.
Fred: So what’s the story?
Tess; He was afraid the caped one would put his car in the swimming pool. We went to church this morning with his mother and she kept twisting on his ears to keep him awake. He barely made in through lunch with his mom. We are at Bazz now. I had to drive over here while he got some sleep. He sitting over on a couch now and looks like he is dozing again. Hey I got to go. I see Cassie talking to Wagner and looking at Smackey with a big grin. That’s not a good sign. Got to help the poor guy. See you tomorrow. Hey Cassie, hold on....
