The Governor vetoed the bill, so we won't be required to keep journals.
I was hoping this would pass.
The notary public record bill was designed to reduce fraud, but the Governor wrote that he was unconvinced that it would accomplish that purpose and questioned whether there was enough fraud to warrant such legislation. He was also worried that making notary public books public record woud compromise their customers personal information including addresses and telephone numbers.
