We all hafe to deal with this from time to time. I have found that reporting non payment issues to the state Consumer Protection or Advocacy Boards is the best way to remedy. Collection letters do no good; lawsuits are generally too expensive for our claims; but the CP people in every state WILL investigate these companies, and they will audit them in a heartbeat, if no resolution is reached. Google the state involved with Consumer Protection and you'll usually get an email, phone, and street address and a means to file a complaint.
