Please be wary of new signing services that request copies of your notary seal, drivers license etc.
All they need is a copy of your comission and a W9.
A new Florida signing service is targeting Florida signing agents. They request copies of the notary seal (not allowed in Florida), copies of drivers license and auto insurance. They also request you send them a photo
of yourself.
ClosersZ is not listed in the FL department of corporations as a corporation or LLC, and a fictitious name has not been filed at this time.
Not too many years ago a CA notary complied with a similar request from a signing service, she sent them a copy of her drivers license etc, and when she did that she became a victim of identity theft.
Please make sure you know who you are signing up with. Don't be afraid to ask the company for references from well established signing agents.
I asked for references from this company and they couldn't provide any.
