Posted by Paul/FL As for using your EIN, it can be used by any business, whether it is incorporated, LLC or sole proprietorship. It is used to identify the business entity, and as a sole proprietor, protect your personal identity (SSN).

You must file a return in accordance with how your business is set up. If you keep it as a sole proprietorship (which is the way most NSA's do it), then it is simply using Schedule C as part of your personal 1040 tax return. If you set up as a partnership, LLC/LLP, or corporation, then you will need to file taxes as those types of businesses. A tax account would be able to advise you.
