Posted by J. on July 22, 2006, 2:40 am Recently I found a metal plate engraved by the Westinghouse Air Brake Company dating back to 1869 in the Eel River (Scotia Bluffs) right below the Northwestern Pacific Railroad track, and I wanted to know if anyone had any information as to how I could go about finding out how much it was worth, or who I would take it to to get an appraisal? Does anyone know of any railroad historians in the area? Thank you immensely for your interest and help. J.
