In Recognition of World AIDS Day 2007, Humboldt County AIDS Task Force is sponsoring a 2 day awareness campaign to raise money for the AIDS Emergency Fund and to raise awareness of HIV/AIDS issues affecting Humboldt County.
Day 1: Friday, November 30 at 5:30pm – 7:30pm
HSU: Goodwin Forum, Nelson Hall East
HSU will host an appetizer/dessert reception including:
•speech by local HIV/AIDS service providers
•Music by local musician Mike McLaren
•Performances by Spare Change Youth Troup
Day 2: Saturday, December 1, 5:00pm - 7:30pm
Eureka Theatre, 612 F Street, Eureka
Eureka Theatre will host concert. Performances by:
•Bill Billstrom Band
•Earl Thomas and the True Gospel Singers
•Display of the AIDS Memorial Quilt
Immediately following the concert there will be a candlelight vigil down “F” St. to the Gazebo in Old Town during Arts Alive.
Tickets are $20 includes access to both Friday and Saturday events. On sale at the Metro and the Works.
