Was also stationed at Kindley as an AP. Arrived in early 1956 as an A2C, left four years later, still an A2C. Promotions were tough in the late 1950's. Worked base patrol, SAC security, and a couple of years in Pass and ID. Married a local girl (we are about to celebrate or 50th Wedding Anniversary), and made a career out of the AF, retiring in 1977. Also had the honor to design the 1604th APRON emblem, though have never seen one in patch form. Would like to hear from anybody who was there in my timeframe.
