Become a Court-Appointed Special Advocate. CASA of Humboldt will be hosting its’ first Fortuna Advocate training class every Friday in February (February 4 – 25) from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Wood Street Chapel-Foursquare Church. Eel River Valley residents are especially encouraged to sign up for this special training because there are many children who live in the outlying areas of Humboldt County that still need a CASA volunteer to stand up for them in court. Advocates can make a tremendous difference in the life of a foster child with just a few hours of time each week.
