Posted by Lesley Fountain on March 20, 2003, 8:25 am We live in Vista (San Diego County), and we're ready to relocate to Fortuna (yes, specifically Fortuna). We're working with an agent in Arcata, but we're *really* eager to move as soon as possible, and we're getting desperate because we can't find anything through the MLS listings, and new properties in Fortuna are listed very rarely. Because of work schedules and manning the family business, it's very hard for us to travel up there and stay for any length of time, but I know there must be properties for sale by owner which aren't listed on any of the FSBO internet sites I've found but simply have a sign stuck in the ground. We'll be there in a couple of weeks to do our own hunting, but obviously we can't do much in a couple of days. I will pay a finder's fee of $250 to anyone who leads us to the property we eventually buy. ============ Just so there isn't any misunderstanding: I can't pay for anything except the *one* we end up buying. I am *not* offering to pay for leads. If more than one person leads us to the same property, I will pay the one who told us about it first, based on the date of the email. If it's a "tie" (highly unlikely), I will split the fee. =============== We're looking for vacant land -- a reasonably flat lot, minimum 1/2 acre, preferably 1+ acre. In town or on the outskirts would be just dandy, as long as it's within Fortuna's zoning jurisdiction. If you have any leads or would be willing to look whenever you're out and about, please contact me by email. I'll give you some specifics so you can "check up on me" and not be concerned that I've run off with your money. Thank you!! We're looking forward to being your neighbors one day soon!! :-)
