The final big traditional drag race of the season is coming up on Sunday, November 1st at Northstar. There is still room for more Outlaw Fuel Altereds. Jack Hodgson will be there (he wow'ed 'em at the Day of the Drags at Temple last weekend with his patented 1/8 mile burnout then backing up at 50 miles an hour to stage). Jim Overly is coming. Nick Poloson will be there to drive Floyd Head's AA/FD, and hopefully he and Tom will bring Sundown along with them.
We'll have Fuel Funny Cars, Front Engined Fuel dragsters (both blown and Jr. Fuel), and a bunch of other altereds, gassers, nostalgia super stockers, and street driven traditional hot rods.
This will be the first time that the Texas State Championship race has been run in more than 40 years. We are trying to re-establish it as one of the biggest annual races in Texas, and sure would like to see some of that OFAA brute horsepower unleashed at this first revival of the TSC since it was last run at Austin Raceway Park in 1967.
