Posted by domonique I am very nervous too I am having my second one tomorrow Friday i prep today. The prep is tough to drink i cried a little the first time but you can do it. It is MUCH better than that old chalk. That was undrinkable! The procedure itself has no pain you dont feel it at all. I always get sick from anesthesia. So that is a BIG worry of mine the after feeling for hours. My doctor said that he will change the way they administer it because if they do the pain med first and then the sedation i should not get sick. So ask your tell anything and everything. When you go in you get an IV to administer the med. Thats all I can think of.. yikes mine is tomorrw. But I can tell you this. I watched my Aunt die of stage 4 colon cancer. It was so heart breaking. She had symptoms for years but did not like doctors and what she might have to face. I have two other older family members die of it as well. SO of coarse I have the symptoms of bleeding my first colonscopy they removed one polyp. Three years later I am getting another one I have bleeding with every bowel movement. I am praying that it is just internal hemorr.... Anyway I am 38 so i want to live therefore i say GET the colonscopy! Take Care and let me know hoe you do!

tell him you are scared etc. It will be fine. Even if you do get sick fromt he anesthesia it is just like a dizziness... It will go away after a few hours. MOST people get up and walk out fine. I am the only one I know that gets sick!
