I am scheduled for a colonoscopy on 8th March. I am absolutely petrified and thinking of cancelling this procedure. I want to be totally asleep when I have it done, not just drowsey. How can I ensure that they make sure I am totally asleep and oblivious to what's going on. I can't envisise enough my concerns and worry that they will say I will be asleep and then I'm not, I think I could have a heart attack. Please advise.
